Cumin tea stimulates digestion and helps preventing the formation of gas. However, the use of its seeds (powder or grains) is most frequent in cooking. This spice, whose flavor ranges from spicy to bitter, is largely used to season beans, lentils, fish, roasts and seafood. In Brazil, cumin is consumed particularly in the Northeast region. In northern Europe, it is also used to prepare bread, cheese, franks and sausages. In Turkey and other countries, cumin is used in liqueur manufacturing. |
