Part which is used: flowers
Egyptians used camomile to treat jungle fever, due to its anti-inflammatory action. However, this plant, native to Europe and North America, also helps fighting several diseases, such as bowel and stomach problems, relieves stomach pain, and is a great natural medicine in cases of gum inflammation, toothache, sore throat, flu and fever. The flower, similar to small daisies, has a calming effect and can be placed inside pillows to reduce insomnia, stress and anxiety. Camomile grows between 25 to 50 centimeters tall and is also really valued in esthetic segments for skin and hair treatments. There is also a recipe which uses edible dry camomile flowers to prepare jams. |
