THOT Brasil headquarters are located in Afogados, a district of Recife, capital city of Pernambuco State, in the Northeast region of Brazil. Since 2001, and compared to the four Brazilian regions, the Northeastern economy has grown above the Brazilian average. Private investments have increased tenfold and the region with approximately 52 million inhabitants goes through a new per capita income growth, becoming the largest drawing zone for companies. It is calculated that, over the last few years, over 2,000 medium and large business companies have been established in Northeast region. In the metropolitan area of Recife, there is also Suape harbor, in which over 5 million tons of load circulate each year, distributing goods to all regions of Brazil.
