For over 10 years in the international spices and grains market, THOT Brasil has partners in over 20 countries, such as: Argentina, Chile, Peru, Canada, India, Turkey, Syria, Egypt, China, Indonesia, Portugal, Bulgaria, among others. The Company imports products from these countries – such as spices, grains, seeds, oils – commercializing them across Brazil under supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture, which authorizes it and recognizes the high quality of the products represented by the Company. THOT Brasil also works as a trading company, and exports/imports goods or services by itself or for others.
THOT Brasil headquarters are located in Recife, Pernambuco. The Company has 42 employees, besides further 50 outsourced professionals.

TRADING
Tax Incentive
Use of the Company as importer to obtain tax incentive from PRODEPE/DECRETO [Development Program for Pernambuco State/Executive Order] to import several products. Such benefits consist of ICMS [state excise tax] postponement in the down payment, and presumed credit on sale to the customer.

Import on Behalf and as Ordered
This operation is a manner to outsource the foreign trade operations regulated by the Federal Revenue by Normative Guidelines, where THOT Brasil will provide service (on behalf and as ordered importer) and provider of several interested companies acting as acquirers. The operation requires an agreement between importer (THOT Brasil) and acquirer (several customers) previously approved by the Federal Revenue, where the obligations and responsibilities of the parties (importer/acquirer) are expressly mentioned, since one or more activities related to the performance and management of operational, logistic, bureaucratic, financial, and tax aspects, among others, to import some goods are transferred to our Company as a trading operation, working on behalf and as ordered. In this type of operation, the acquirer must decide which services will be outsourced – from a simple performance of import clearance to intermediation of negotiation in foreign countries, transportation, insurance contract, among others.
Customs Clearance
Any imported or exported good must go through customs clearance in the primary or secondary zone, and such task is under responsibility of our team of brokers, who are qualified by the Federal Revenue. The tasks under our team responsibility will include verification of documents, record of import or export statements, clearance of loads with authorizing bodies, when necessary, until clearance with the Secretariat of Public Finances, harbors and airports.
Logistics Management
In this case, the contracting party outsources most part of its international operation, and the contract of international freights, insurances, customs' broker and internal logistics (freight for highway transportation/distribution) can be under our responsibility.
